NO WAR NO WARMING - NJ
| NoWarNoWarmingNJ is a grassroots project that is an outgrowth of the national NoWarNoWarming movement. It is a project of the Essex Greens and is dedicated to reversing the priorities of the United States by shifting our funding from the military-industrial complex to the promotion of green and environmental endeavors. |
| We need to take immediate action: |
- to end the war in Iraq by bringing home our troops, and military contractors
- to close our military bases there and by helping Iraq rebuild
- to focus on the impending climate crisis
- to end the US addiction to oil and fossil fuels
- to promote green jobs in a clean energy economy
- to emphasize diplomacy and conflict-resolution, not pre-emptive strikes

| We can turn our concerns into action by: |
- joining a global movement against war and global warming
- participating in nonviolent demonstrations
- promoting environmental justice
- educating those in denial
|
| Work toward the shifting of government funding by: |
- supporting veterans, bringing them home and taking full responsibility for their rehabilitation
- fighting and exposing corporate greed as it relates to fossil fuels and war profiteering
- supporting alternative economic models that create new clean energy jobs
